Avoiding abuse in organisations

There are, in my experience, two main issues that underlie abuse: the misuse of authority and transference. Organisations have a duty of care towards those people who work for them, including those in authority. This means that they should be providing suitable training and therapeutic supervisory support to enable their people to avoid these pitfalls.
